What would the holidays be without a family life update?!

First, we are super grateful for each of you! You get Christmas cards from us each year because we value your presence in our lives.

So, now – to the updates!

2022 has been a year of adulting for Abbi. She is living here at home and is about to finish her junior year at Southeastern University in their online ministry track. Her ministry focus is Children’s Ministry. Abbi is very active in worship ministry and small group leadership at Longhorns for Christ on the University of Texas at Austin campus. She also serves on worship team at church as well. She is also enjoying being a “Broista” at our local Dutch Bros. Coffee.

Peyton is in his senior year at Leander High School! It is hard to believe we’re already here. Peyton had a really great season for the Leander Lions Football team. He played tight end and defensive end. Peyton score seven touchdowns and racked up over 600 yards of total offense. He even sealed a hard fought win with a quarterback sack on defense in their game versus Bastrop. It was fun to watch him excel as a team leader. Now, we turn our attention toward Leander Baseball season. He is looking to be their starting first baseman this season! Peyton is currently applying to colleges and hopes to soon have his future plans ready to go. Peyton is also working at a local pizza restaurant.

Gina is in her fifth year with Airborn, Inc. as the financial controller. She loves her team and using her accounting gifts to help grow the company. Gina is also an online student in the Jesus Culture School of Leadership in Folsom, California. She has enjoyed growing in her relationship with Jesus and her leadership! In her “spare time” 😆 she is enjoying reading and hanging with the family – including Riggins (the dog) and Peaches (the cat)!

I have had an eventful 2022! Early in the year, I became the Pastor of Creative Ministries at Austin Christian Fellowship. I spent my year coaching and building the team that creatively organizes the worship services at ACF. I also completed the first year program through the Jesus Culture School of Leadership. At the same time, we had been discussing with ACF leadership what the Lord had placed on my heart in late 2021 – planting a church in Cedar Park! On October 1, after almost 8 years on the team, I transitioned from the staff at ACF to full time church planter. We are working to launch Family House Fellowship in Cedar Park in 2023. God has moved in so many ways in this process and we can’t wait to see all that He does in 2023!
