This week in Connexion small groups we are discussing the aftermath of the message based on chapter four of Francis Chan’s book, “Crazy Love“.  The name of chapter four smacks you right in the gut – “Profile of the Lukewarm”.

This chapter is all about those who aren’t really living fully in either world.  Their not standing both feet and all in with God and they aren’t all the time standing in all out rebellion.  They are fence sitters.  Line straddlers.  Wishy-washy.  And I am one of them.

Yeah you read that right.  I am one of them.  Yes, I am a pastor.

One thing that Chan says in his book keeps ringing in my ears –

Do you see of God’s Kingdom in your life?  Or are you choking it out slowly by spending too much time, energy, money, and thought on the things of this world?

And as I keep asking myself these questions there is one glaring question left to ask – What is more important than Him?  What could possibly mean more than my relationship with Him?

God has used Francis Chan to speak clearly to me this week and He is telling me that there have been more times than I want to count where I have put money, possessions, people, places, jobs, and other even less valuable things in front of Him.  And my conclusion is – there is NOTHING worth losing sight of Him.  There is NOTHING worth more than Him.
