President-elect Barack Obama made good on a campaign promise to…his kids Tuesday night when he confirmed that his two girls would be getting a puppy to take them to the White House. I must say, it will be cool having kids in the White House that only a few years older than my own.
What kind of dog does the First Family-elect choose? It seems like a high pressure decision for this high profile family. While we are not sure just yet the breed of dog, (although since daughter Malia is allergic it looks like they are looking at a hypoallergenic breed. Malia likes the Goldendoodle, which is a cross bretween a golden retriever and a poodle) we do know that the Obama’s are doing one of the coolest things. They are rescuing a puppy from a shelter. As a BBC News article says, “(it) would certainly be a story of canine rags to riches.” Now, that is cool!
