Today is my son’s 4th birthday.  Peyton is our adventurous one.  He is the one who chases birds wherever they go.  He climbs trees without concern for how he will get down.  He goes looking for new experiences and opportunities to learn.  I love that about him…AND…it is what frustrates me most.  Peyton doesn’t fit into my mold.  I love that! 

Today, on his 4th birthday I am determined to go on more adventures with Peyton.  I am going to help him cultivate his passions and encourage him.  I want to raise Peyton into a man of God who keeps his passions and harnesses them to chase after Christ with a reckless abandon.  Active, adventurous, and Godly belong together, they are not mutually exclusive.  Peyton is a creation of God that demonstrates that and I look forward to celebrating God in my son.
