So what does “go GRANDE” mean. Well, first of all, I am addicted to coffee, specifically, Starbucks. And my size of choice is grande. Secondly, I have always liked the saying, “Go big or go home.” I personally have always struggled with how I can be an investor in the lives of potential leaders. I have had many people who have invested in me as a leader and I know the importance of reinvesting that in others. Some of the lies I told myself were:
1. I am too young to be a mentor.
2. I don’t have anything to offer.
3. My ministry locale is too small to offer anyone any guidance.
I have learned that these are only lies Satan tells to get me to disengage from potential relationships that could impact the world for Christ. Now, I am not saying I have leadership all figured out by any means, but now I am willing to share what I am learning with others. Collaboration is a huge part of mentoring. Being willing to dialog with one another about life and ministry is key. That’s “go GRANDE.” Leading in a big way. Leaving yourself all out there to be poured into someone else.
One response to “go GRANDE…”
I love it… “Go Grande”. At first I thought this had something to do with Grande…the Cable Company (in Texas). I love the concept.
