go GRANDE…

So what does “go GRANDE” mean.  Well, first of all, I am addicted to coffee, specifically, Starbucks.  And my size of choice is grande.  Secondly, I have always liked the saying, “Go big or go home.”  I personally have always struggled with how I can be an investor in the lives of potential leaders.  I have had many people who have invested in me as a leader and I know the importance of reinvesting that in others.  Some of the lies I told myself were:

1. I am too young to be a mentor.
2. I don’t have anything to offer.
3. My ministry locale is too small to offer anyone any guidance.

coffeeI have learned that these are only lies Satan tells to get me to disengage from potential relationships that could impact the world for Christ.  Now, I am not saying I have leadership all figured out by any means, but now I am willing to share what I am learning with others.  Collaboration is a huge part of mentoring.  Being willing to dialog with one another about life and ministry is key.  That’s “go GRANDE.”  Leading in a big way.  Leaving yourself all out there to be poured into someone else.
